TERMS & CONDITIONS

BOOKINGS For Birthday Parties, and any course longer than 1 day: A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the full fee is payable at time of booking. The outstanding balance must be paid six weeks in advance of the start of the course.

For all other courses & workshops: Bookings are made on a first come, first served basis on receipt of full payment. We regret that no refunds will be given. Amendments to these bookings may be made up to 10 days prior to the date of the class. If you find you are unable to attend a class less than 10 days before the date of the class you are welcome to send someone else in your place. These rules apply equally to gift voucher bookings.

CANCELLATION POLICY The course fees (or booking fee in respect of the Birthday Party and longer courses) will be refunded (less a 20% administration fee) if written cancellation is received six weeks before the start date. No refunds will be made for places cancelled within six weeks of the start of a course. Payments cannot be transferred to other courses.
Withdrawal from a course, for whatever reason, does not lead to any form of refund. Personal insurance is recommended to cover you not being able to attend or complete a course for any reason (such as illness or travel problems). Places can be transferred to another person.

COURSE CONTENT Please note that the dishes described are only a guide to course content. Amendments may be made at our discretion.

PAYMENT Payments can be taken online, or by phone using debit or credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Visa Electron, Maestro & Solo). Alternatively by cheque made payable to ‘CookingMania’.

DATES AND FEES CookingMania reserves the right to alter the timing or content of any course, to substitute any teacher, or to cancel a course at any time. The right is reserved to make alterations to all course fees and dates given in brochures or on the Internet. Notification will be given as soon as possible in the event of such changes.
In the unfortunate event that a class has to be cancelled we will always try and give you as much notice as we reasonably can and you will be offered the choice of an alternative class or a full refund. We will not be liable for any other costs or expenses that you may incur. If you need to arrange travel or overnight accommodation, we recommend that you seek appropriate insurance.

PROPERTY & PERSON We shall be under no liability whatsoever, for any loss, injury or damage to students or their property, whether in respect of any neglect, act or omission by the school, its agents or employees.

HEALTH & SAFETY To prevent accidents from occurring all students must to listen and comply to all instructions given by the employees of the school, which are given with reference to The Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS). You are advised to wear appropriate clothing. Practical, low-heeled shoes with a non-slip sole, such as trainers are recommended.

STANDARDS Students are expected to conduct themselves in the highest of standards. If a student is considered by CookingMania to be unsuitable for any reason, the student may be required to leave, either immediately or within a specified time.

GIFT VOUCHERS The gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase after which they are null and void. Please note that once the expiry date has been reached, the voucher cannot be extended.Vouchers can be used to buy items from our shop. Vouchers may not be exchanged for cash value or refunded in any way (except in accordance with our cancellation policy).
The gift voucher must be presented at the time of booking the course, workshop or party. Should not be happy with your gift voucher, please contact us and return the voucher to us within 7 days of the date of purchase and we will provide a full refund.

LIABILITY To the extent permitted by law, Cookingmania hereby expressly excludes: (i) all conditions, warranties and other terms which might otherwise be implied by statute or common law; and (ii) any liability for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage, including, without limitation any liability for loss of income or revenue, loss of business and loss of profits or contracts.
This does not affect our liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence, nor our liability for fraudulent misrepresentation or misrepresentation as to a fundamental matter, nor any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
